The International Health Informatics Conference (HEALTHINFO) is an international academic forum initiated by the Vietnam Health Economics Association (VHEA) and organized in collaboration with universities, hospitals, healthcare institutions, and international partners. Since its inception, HEALTHINFO has served as a platform for researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders to exchange knowledge and foster collaboration in health informatics and digital healthcare.
The conference series began in 2019 with the theme "Smart Hospital", focusing on the foundations of healthcare digital transformation. In 2022, the second edition explored "Family Doctor Network", highlighting primary healthcare in the digital ecosystem. The third edition in 2023, "Smart Healthcare in the Digitalization Age", emphasized emerging AI applications in healthcare.
The 4th edition, HEALTHINFO IV, adopts the theme "AI for Healthcare" — reflecting the growing impact of AI on clinical decision-making, health management, education, and patient engagement. It is jointly organized by VHEA, the University of Information Technology (UIT)–VNU-HCM, the University of Health Sciences (UHS)–VNU-HCM, and distinguished national and international partners.
